We are thrilled to welcome Kevin O'Hern of Tannhäuser Forge to the Valley Craft Network!
Kevin's work carries forward the enduring traditions of blacksmithing and forged metalwork. His path into the craft began in the early 1990s in the equine world, where he worked as a carriage driver before pursuing formal training in farrier science. After completing the advanced farrier science program at Olds College in Alberta in 1996, Kevin established himself as a professional farrier and blacksmith, building decades of hands-on skill rooted in strength, precision, and tradition.
After relocating his practice to Maryland, Kevin’s expertise led to an opportunity with Baltimore Knife and Sword. Since 2018, he has been part of a highly-skilled team handcrafting authentic arms for Renaissance fairs across North America, as well as reproduction pieces for gaming and film productions around the world. His work reflects both historical craftsmanship and the enduring power of forged metal — where fire, steel, and skilled hands come together to shape objects of purpose and beauty.
