Jayme Marshall Jewelry

I have been handcrafting art jewelry as a hobby for most of my adult life. In 2000, I completed the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) Jewelry Certificate Program and have pursued continuing education ever since. All of my handmade pieces are created from fine or sterling silver sheet and wire. I combine textures, patterns, and patina using both traditional and contemporary metal smithing methods. While I primarily work in silver, I incorporate touches of gold, gemstones, sea glass, pearls, and flame-worked glass beads into many pieces. I love playing with new techniques and finding ways to incorporate interesting textures and color. Much of my inspiration stems from being a lifelong seeker and having a deep reverence for planet Earth. The resulting collections are a synergy of movement, light, and symbolism.

In 2022, Jayme moved her studio up the street from her home and opened a gallery at the square corner in Burkittsville. With a backdrop of deep history and spectacular scenery, she now pursues her art in a circa 1850 building. Her gallery is open weekends from Noon – 5:00 pm and by appointment at 2 W. Main Street, Burkittsville, MD 21718. Come and visit for a fun adventure in the country!
