Dave Swiger ~ Contentment Turnings By Dave

PLEASE NOTE:

Unfortunately a section of Poffenberger Road will be closed for repair during our tour. Please follow the detour map to get from Stop 6 (Dave Swiger/Contentment Turnings) to Stop 7 (Susan Hanson/Catoctin Pottery & Dan Rudy/Woodendeavor, LLC). Estimated time to drive the detour is about 10 minutes. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 I have had an interest in woodturning since my middle school shop class when I first stepped up to a lathe and turned my first project - a lamp for my bedroom.  That experience instilled a passion for woodturning that has never left me.  That passion drives me to ensure that all of my turnings will always be made with a careful eye for detail so that they'll show off nature's wonderful work.
As you examine my turnings, please take the time to notice what nature has given us to appreciate. I sincerely hope that my pieces impart in you the feelings that I experience when creating them at my lathe – serenity, happiness and pleasure... feelings of contentment!
I will provide live turning demonstrations during both days of the Tour.
Other hours: by appointment only.
